This privacy policy describes the privacy practices of Sigenergy Technologies Inc. and our subsidiar and affiliates (collectively, “Sigenergy”, “us”, “we” or “our”) for users of the websites or APP of Sigenergy (collectively, the “Site”).

Except as otherwise set forth herein, we will keep confidential any Personal Information related to your account with us.


3. Non-Personal Information

Our websites, if available, may be visited at any time without you having to provide personal data. Sigenergy stores the following non-personal data:

a. Browser type and version

b. Operating system

c. Referrer URL (the specific webpage from which a link was followed to our website)

d. Host name of the computer accessing the website (IP address)

e. Time and date of the server request

f. Device

3.1 Such data are analyzed by Sigenergy or a third party and used to improve our products and services (such as for the purpose of research and data analysis). You cannot be identified on the basis of such data.

3.2 Sigenergy also stores and saves the data listed in Section 3 of registered users. Use of such data pursuant to Section 3.1 solely occurs in an anonymized form. It is not possible for you to be identified on the basis of such data by any third party that may be commissioned by us.

3.3 Based on the use of Sigenergy websites by registered or authorized users, Sigenergy also collects non-personal (anonymized) data. They are stored in a form that does not allow identification of any specific person. Sigenergy may collect, use, transfer and disclose non-personal data for any purpose.

Example: Sigenergy uses aggregated data from all the systems in a certain region to identify, for example, the duration and intensity of sunlight in that region. The region is sufficiently broad that a given person or their system cannot be identified. Sigenergy is also entitled to provide such aggregated data to third parties.

Personal Information is information that can be directly associated with an identifiable natural person. Sigenergy can only identify you or the respective user following registration. Registration requires you to voluntarily provide your personal data. Our websites record and store the following data of registered users:

4.1 User data: form of address, first name, surname, company, street, street number, postcode, town, federal state, country, time zone, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, birthday, customer number, user name, password.

4.2 System data: system name, system identifier, date/time of commissioning, company, street, street number, postcode, town, federal state, time zone, longitude, latitude, height above sea level, system performance, manufacturer, module type, system specification, system image

4.3 Operator/customer data: form of address, first name, surname, company, street, street number, postcode, town, federal state, country, time zone, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, customer number, VAT identification number

5. Personal information collection

5.1 Sigenergy collects personal data in order to provide the desired services, to process contracts and for internal purposes, such as to improve our services and products (for the purpose of data analysis, research etc.) or to contact you independently of the respective contract.

5.2 All personal data are kept strictly confidential by Sigenergy and are not provided to third parties without your express consent.

5.3 Without your consent, Sigenergy will only collect, process and use your personal master data and usage data to the extent required for contract processing and for the use and billing of electronic information and communication services.

5.4 By way of exception, Sigenergy is entitled to provide the data to third parties if it is under a legal obligation to do so, for example if it is required to disclose the data to public authorities.

5.5 By way of exception, Sigenergy is entitled to provide personal data to an online payment system, but only to the extent that such data are necessary for due processing of the payment.

5.6 Following registration, your user’s name will be visible to other members. In addition, you may release/publish the other details of your profile or your system and make them visible to other members. Within your profile, you have the option of adjusting the settings to modify the scope of publication of your data. It is at your discretion which data are released/published to other users and in what scope. Further details are provided on the websites beside the given function.

5.7 If we use data for a purpose requiring your consent pursuant to statutory regulations, we will request your express consent. Your consent will be documented in compliance with the relevant data privacy regulations. You may revoke the consent that you have given at any time with effect for the future and/or reject the future use of your data for the purpose of advertising, market research and opinion research. To revoke your consent or reject such future use, it is sufficient to send a simple message to Sigenergy. To ensure prompt processing, please use the contact details given below. You will not be charged any additional costs for contacting us.

5.8 Information you provide to us.

Personal information you provide to us through the Service or otherwise may include:

a. Business and personal contact information, such as your first and last name, email and physical addresses, phone number, professional title, and company name.

b. Content you choose to upload to the service, such as text, images, audio, video, and digital signatures, along with the metadata associated with the files you upload.

c. Profile information, such as your username and password that you may set to establish an online account with us, your account name, account number, Sigenergy system identification number, photograph, interests, and preferences.

d. Registration information, such as information that may be related to a service, an account or an event for which you register.

e. Feedback or correspondence, such as information you provide when you contact us with questions, feedback, or otherwise correspond with us online.

f. Demographic information, such as your street address, city, state, country of residence, and postal code.

g. Energy information, such as your energy production, electric bill, solar installation contract, energy consumption, battery settings and usage history, other load consumption or production, and other information relating to any of your energy resources.

h. Site information, such as information related to your solar installation including roof type, house size, device configuration settings, appliance usage, microinverter details, system configuration settings, electrical circuit breaker and panel details, permit information, and photographs.

i. Financial information, such as your electric bill. Information provided to make a purchase such as payment card information, financial account number, and billing information is never collected or stored by Sigenergy, but is provided directly to third-party payment processors such as Stripe, Authorize.net, and Paypal (depending on the site). Information provided for a financing application on our websites such as social security number, income information, and other financial and personal information is similarly not collected or stored by Sigenergy, but is provided directly to third-party lending partners. Sigenergy may receive an indication of the results of such application from the lending partners (e.g., amount of loan and identity of financial institution).

j. Transaction information, such as information about your billing address, payments to and from you, customer number, and other details of products or services you have purchased from us.

k. Usage information, such as information about how you use the Service and interact with us, including information associated with any meter identifier (make, model and serial number) or augmented revenue grade meter data (such as cumulative counter ending values as of the end of the month), output information, efficiency and other technical variables, content you upload to the websites or otherwise submit to us, and information you provide when you use any interactive features of the Service.

l. Marketing information, such as your preferences for receiving communications about our activities, events, and publications, and details about how you engage with our communications. We also may conduct user surveys, and research and analysis about your use of, or interest in, our products and services.

m. Other information that we may collect which is not specifically listed here but which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.

Information we obtain from social media platforms. We may maintain pages for Sigenergy on social media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, YouTube, Instagram, and other third party platforms. When you visit or interact with our pages on those platforms, the platform provider’s privacy policy will apply to your interactions and their collection, use and processing of your personal information. You or the platforms may provide us with information through the platform, and we will treat such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information we obtain from other third parties. We may receive personal information about you from third-party sources. For example, a business partner, such as a solar energy system installer, a grid services aggregator, or a utility, may share your contact and energy-related information with us if you have expressed interest in learning specifically about our products or services, or the types of products or services we offer. Similarly, a business partner may share profile or registration information if they assist you in setting up a Sigenergy Account. We may obtain your personal information (including the categories listed above under “Information you Provide to Us”) from other third parties, such as marketing partners, publicly-available sources, existing Sigenergy customers, and data providers. In certain circumstances, Sigenergy collects your personal information from your installer at your direction. These third parties privacy policies govern their sharing of information with Sigenergy and their other processing, so we advise you to contact the third parties for further information.

Cookies and other information are collected by automated means. We, our service providers, and our business partners may automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and activity occurring on or through the Service. The information that may be collected automatically includes your computer or mobile device operating system type and version number, manufacturer and model, device identifier (such as the Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA for Advertising), browser type, screen resolution, IP address, the website you visited before navigating to our website, general location information such as city, state or geographic area; and information about your use of and actions on the Service, such as pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, and length of access.
