Sigenergy C&I Case: Unleashing the Power of Green Energy in Myanmar's Poultry Industry

Harnessing the Sun: A Green Energy Revolution Underway
In Myanmar, a poultry farm has successfully merged modern agriculture with clean energy, thanks to Sigenergy’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Energy Storage Solution. This innovative system is transforming how energy is utilized in the poultry industry, showcasing a seamless integration of solar power and sustainable farming practices.

As you step onto the farm, rows of chicken coops are neatly arranged, each equipped with feeding troughs and conveyor belts. The chickens thrive in a climate-controlled environment, ensuring their health and growth. “Every aspect of our poultry operation depends on a stable power supply. With the high-density nature of our farming, even a few minutes without electricity can result in significant losses. Thankfully, Sigenergy’s C&I Energy Storage Solution provides the reliable power we need,” the farm manager shared in a recent interview.

Seamless Power Supply: The Heart of Modern Farming
Sigenergy’s solution combines advanced hardware with intelligent control algorithms to continuously monitor the power system's status. It boasts the industry’s fastest switch between on-grid and off-grid modes, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted power supply. When the grid power is restored, the system seamlessly switches back, offering a truly uninterrupted and worry-free power experience.

In Myanmar, where power shortages are a persistent challenge, even in major cities like Yangon and Mandalay, stable electricity is a luxury. Industrial areas often receive only four hours of electricity per day, with unpredictable outages causing significant disruptions for poultry farmers.

The farm owner explained, “We used to have staff on duty around the clock to manage power outages by manually switching to diesel generators—a process that was both complex and costly due to high fuel expenses. Now, with Sigenergy’s solution, we automatically switch to battery power during outages. If the battery is depleted, the system seamlessly switches to diesel generators, all without human intervention, saving us significant labor and electricity costs.”

Solar Power: A Sustainable and Cost-Effective Solution
The poultry farm is equipped with a solar power system with an installed capacity of 150 kWp, generating over 360 kWh of electricity per day. The energy storage capacity of 144 kWh is sufficient to cover the farm's energy needs during power outages. Even on cloudy or rainy days, Sigenergy’s C&I solution leverages artificial intelligence to anticipate and store electricity from the grid at a lower cost, effectively managing any shortfall in solar power generation.

“Since implementing Sigenergy’s C&I solution, we’ve completely eliminated our reliance on diesel generators. In just three months, we’ve saved over 30 million Myanmar Kyat in diesel costs, not to mention the maintenance savings on the generators. We expect to recoup our investment in less than three years—it’s an incredible return,” the farm manager excitedly noted.

“Initially, we were just testing the waters, but the results have been so impressive that we’ve decided to roll out SigenStor across all our poultry farms,” the owner added. The company now has six poultry farms equipped with Sigenergy’s C&I Energy Storage Solution, with plans to install the system in more locations.

Innovation and Ease of Use: Key to Sigenergy’s Success
The ease of installation and maintenance was a significant factor in the farm’s decision to choose SigenStor. Through innovative thermal management and insulation technologies, Sigenergy has pioneered the shift from traditional “tower-type” systems to fully modular energy storage systems. This “full modularization” greatly simplifies spare parts management and lifecycle maintenance for users, making installation easier with fewer site restrictions. Whether on rooftops or along walls, the system can be installed almost anywhere. Additionally, the built-in Energy Management System (EMS) eliminates the need for data loggers, simplifying installation and commissioning, and saving users significant time and costs.

As global energy prices continue to rise, the advantages of solar and energy storage systems in reducing operational costs and enhancing the competitiveness of the livestock industry are becoming increasingly apparent. Sigenergy is committed to driving technological innovation and sustainable development in the solar and storage industry, accelerating the adoption of these products, and contributing to the green transformation of the global energy structure.
