SigenStor Retrofit: Intelligent Energy Management for Optimal Efficiency

Sigenergy recently addressed a factory's longstanding power distribution challenges with its innovative SigenStor energy storage solution.

 

“The Sigenergy solution exceeded my expectations,” shared the project leader at Fuguang Environment (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., following their use of Sigenergy’s system. “It not only met our energy needs while maximizing solar power use, but it also eliminated many complex operational tasks.”

 

The factory previously struggled with frequent tripping of its main switch during peak production periods. Although a PV system was installed to offset the load, power interruptions continued on cloudy days and during periods of low sunlight. To remedy this, the factory installed a 215 kWh energy storage system. However, this system was limited to scheduled charging and discharging, without integration with the PV system. As a result, the PV inverter limited or even stopped solar output during storage discharges due to anti-reverse flow controls.

 

Fuguang Environment ultimately chose SigenStor to replace the initial setup, successfully enhancing both power stability and production efficiency.


 

The project utilized Sigenergy's 50kW/96kWh solution, seamlessly integrating solar generation and energy storage, and providing the factory with several key advantages:

Quick Installation and Stable Operation

SigenStor features an embedded EMS, removing the need for external data logger, and employs industry-leading full-network communication technology. This setup accelerates communication speeds and response times by over tenfold, supporting device self-recognition and auto-networking. Installation and setup are completed in less than half a day, saving both time and costs. Additionally, the system offers an extended 500-meter Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) range for enhanced safety and stability.

 

Dynamic Real-Time Adjustment

The SigenStor system dynamically allocates power based on factory load variations, maximizing self-consumption. During sunny periods, solar power supplies the factory, with excess energy stored in the battery for optimal green energy utilization. On cloudy days or at night, the storage system supplies power from the battery to ensure continuous operation. When battery power is low, the system seamlessly switches to grid power, balancing solar generation with load demand to prevent production interruptions.

 

Dynamic Capacity Expansion for Peak Loads

The system features intelligent load detection, allowing the factory to set custom load limits. When the load exceeds these limits, the system automatically boosts the energy storage’s output to prevent tripping. When the load is below the threshold, the system prioritizes grid power, extending the lifespan of the storage unit.

 

User-Friendly Operation and Efficient Maintenance

Unlike traditional storage solutions, SigenStor provides flexible, customizable settings for easy adjustment and management. Integrated with the latest AI technology, the mySigen App offers personalized voice support and natural language interaction, delivering precise energy recommendations, optimization insights, quick setup, and in-depth query capabilities. The system also includes automated diagnostics and remote inspections, allowing management to monitor energy usage and manage power distribution directly from a mobile device.
